Notagallery, Berlin is delighted to announce the the solo exhibition "GEMISCHTE GEFÜHLE" (Mixed Feelings) by abstract artist and gallery founder Ivan Gette. In this exhibition, Ivan Gette presents an extremely personal art series that captures the complexity and contradictions of human emotions.

Art reflects the moments that happen in and around us - moments that influence us, that we influence, which we then process and share. These moments reveal feelings that are sometimes simple and trivial, and at other times so complex that they make our heart beat faster, awaken our passion, hold a mirror up to us, inspire, repel, scare, provoke thought, and question our actions and existence on this planet.

The exhibition "Gemischte Gefühle" offers an insight into the world of the Berlin based artist Ivan Gette. His abstract and often perceived as chaotic style reflects his emotions and life stories, shedding light on the journey he has been through and on the unknown facets of his life. Calmness, dynamism, chaos, it’s a mixed feeling that reflects with his works. Often broken compositions, the associated colors, and the total freedom under creativity perfectly explains his creative process "Abstract Nihilism", as he defines it.

“Art is good when it makes us feel something, regardless of whether it evokes a positive or a negative experience. When art triggers mixed feelings we are reminded of our existence.” -Ivan Gette
